How To Celebrate Christmas

There are many different ways of celebrating Christmas. Most people put up a tree, bake cookies, and spend time with family, but do they know the reason why? Or are they just doing it because of tradition?
Some other ways you could celebrate Christmas is singing. This can bring joy to both you and others. Another thing you could do, which I found pretty cool, is baking a cake for Jesus. It is his birthday we are celebrating, so why not give him a proper birthday celebration?
Another thing you could do is taking pictures. The more pictures you take, the more memories you make.

Bhuddism

Buddah by Feli(6)

Buddhists believe that there is no god. They don't worship Buddah, they pay respect to him. They also believe in reicarnation. They believe that when somebody dies it isn't the end of their life but another step in their life. They don't usually pray because they don't have a god, but they do have prayer wheels or flags that are supposed to send off good thoughts. They also meditate. Meditation is supposed to help reach enlightenment. It involves deep concentration which takes years to master. To help them concetrate they stare at an object or say the same word over and over again.

Everyone believes in something whether you bielive in one god or many gods or even no god. Before today I knew nothing about Shintoism. Shintoism is a religion that is only in Japan. It believes that a little bit of their god is in everything, like rocks and trees and animals and thing like that.

There are many differnt versions of the bible, but they all give the same message. This is a picture of "Da Jesus Book" which was translated into Hawaiian Pidgin. Even though it sounds different, it still gives you the same stories as the NIV or the CEV or the King James.

Prayer

Who do we pray to? We pray to God because he is the only one who can answer prayers. When do we pray? It dosn't matter when we pray or how many times a day we pray. Where do we pray? We can pray anywhere in the world as long as we are focused on God. Why do we pray? We pray because we are sinful by nature. How do we pray? In a place that is quiet, we close our eyes, fold our hands, and pray.

The Bible

KJV Bible

In some bibles, there is a thing called a concordance. In the concordance, you can look up any phrase and it will tell where it is in the bible. There is also an introduction to the chapters of the Bible in some bibles. In these introductions, it tells you who the author was, God's grace in the chapter, the background, and some other things. It really comes in handy when you want to know who wrote the chapter and put it in historical background. The concordance comes in handy when you know theres a verse in the Bible, but you don't know where it is in the Bible.

Books of the Bible

Torah

The first five books of the Bible are: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. That is whats in the Torah and only that. The Torah is so big that it looks like the whole Old Testement could fit in it! It's hard to believe that it's only five books of the Bible. The Torah is the Jewish holy book. It is usually written in Hebrew, but sometimes it's written in English. You cannot touch the Torah with your bare hands because of the very old parchment paper. It comes with a little silver finger type thing so that you don't lose your spot. I hope you enjoyed a little history of the Torah!

healing words

I learned that words can really hurt a person down deep, but words can also be healing too. For example the whole word has been bitten by a "snake" and we have "the snake bite kit"." Snake" is the sin and the "snake bite kit" is the healing words of God. I also learned that their is alot of unusual remedies for many different things like pickle juice helps muscle cramps and meat tenderizers help insect bites, stings, swellings and wounds.
